We, at Gist Money, value our users' privacy. Any transaction, budget, category, payment mode or attachment that you add in the app is strictly under your ownership.
By default, your data stays on your device. That works well — but it also means that if you change devices or reinstall the app, your data won't come with you automatically.
To keep your data safe across these changes, the app provides a few options:
- Cloud Sync (Premium) — automatically backs up your data and keeps it in sync across all your signed-in devices. Your data is encrypted in transit and stored securely on our infrastructure.
- Automatic backups (Premium) — creates a daily encrypted backup of your data on your own Google Drive or iCloud.
- Manual backups — encrypted backups to Google Drive, iCloud or your device, on demand.
All backups generated by the app are encrypted and can only be used by you to restore the data.
